The scene starts with Friar John with Friar Lawrence discussing on who gave the letter to Romeo about the plan. Friar John admits to not giving the letter to Romeo due to the infection that has broken out in Mantua. Friar Lawrence leaves to go to the tomb as Juliet will wake up in 3 hours and she will be angry to know that Romeo doesn’t know the plan but he will send another letter to Mantua.

The nurse finally gets told from Juliet that she will be marrying Romeo soon. The nurse is trying to convince Juliet to leave Romeo and marry Paris but declines as she compares marrying Paris to marrying a toad. She tells the nurse that she will be marrying Romeo later that day in the afternoon at Friar Lawrences cell. Before the scene end Juliet leaves a rope outside her balcony for Romeo to climb up in the night.

Romeo is expecting good news, he had a dream that he was dead and Juliet kissed him and he came back to life. Balthasar arrives with news for Romeo but the news isn’t good its that he found out that Juliet was dead. Balthasar says that Romeo looks like he going to hurt himself. Romeo says “Juliet, I’ll lie with you tonight” which is implying that he will kill himself, he is also wondering where he could get his hands on poison and he realises the Apothecary has some. Romeo goes to the Apothecary to get some poison and the Apothecary want to reject him as its against the law but sells it to him as the Apothecary is poor.

Its the wedding day and the nurse enters the room to find Juliet dead she shouts it to the family and paris demands to see her. The whole family see she is dead including Friar Lawrence so the wedding is off.

Its in the morning and the capulet household is getting the wedding ready. Paris is approaching the house and damands the nurse to wake Juliet.

Juliet returns home, where she finds Capulet and Lady Capulet preparing for the wedding. She surprises her parents by disobeying her fathers decision to marry Paris and is forced to marry Paris by both her parents. Juliet had planned to the plan that Friar Lawrence made so agrees to the wedding Capulet is happy she is marrying Paris that he moves the marriage up a day. Juliet heads to her bedroom to prepare for her wedding.

Paris is talking to Friar Lawrence about arranging the marriage with Juliet. Juliet enters and begins to have a conversation with Paris and says she loves him sarcastically making Paris think she is obsessed with him. Juliet don’t know what to do to escape this marriage so Friar Lawrence tells her his plan. the plan is to give Juliet a potion to make her sleep for 43 hours which will stop her breathing so it would seem as she’s dead. the family would put her in the family tomb on a table, Romeo will come back to go get Juliet and leave for Mantuit .

Romeo is with Juliet and Romeo has to leave before sunrise or he will be put to death. Instead he stays with Juliet and doesn’t care if the guards take him away and kill him. The nurse bursts in the room to see Romeo with Juliet and climbs out the window Romeo says he will see her again and he runs away.

Its a Monday and Capulat and Paris are talking about how Juliet is dealing with Tybalts death amd are planning Paris to get married to Juliet on thursday.Paris is getting permision for him to marry Juliet from lady capulat and lady capulat goes to tell Juliet not knowing anything about the the marrage.

Friar Lawrence tells romeo that he is bannished but Romeo thinks of this as living dead as he will not see Juliet again. The nurse arrives and tells him of Juliets depression and stops Romeo from killing himself. Romeo has to leave to Mantua by the morning.
